Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Small water crossings that are enough ice to pass over
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Although Lonesome Lake looks safe to walk straight across do not attempt. I got 3/4 the way across and the ice cracked enough to push the water through with two steps. Needless to say I backtracked and went around the lake to work my way onto the FJ trail.
Dog-Related Notes

Comments
Comments: Used snowshoes all the way up and on the way down changed to microspikes by the hut. I'd say 75% of the people were using microspikes and the other 25% snowshoes. A couple ice patches along a couple steep inclines on the FJ trail. Stay on the main parts of the trail as there was plenty of evidence of postholes along all 3 trails. Stay safe out there folks! Happy hiking!
