 | Comments: |
it ended up being a much nicer day than forecasted. surprisingly warm and humid. was back to shorts and no sleeves after bundling up the last couple weeks. no wildlife on the trail, but i saw a bear cub zip across the road and spooked a bald eagle out of the trees driving up york pond rd. pretty neat. york pond and bunnell notch trails are decidedly wet, muddy and slippery until hitting the ridge trail and then it was just wet up to the summit. a few nice views to the foggy low lands and to some surrounding peaks at the various outlooks. real quiet in the woods today. nice to be out hiking. bryan |
