The trail was still firm from low temps Monday night, able to spike up to the summit with no trouble or trail damage. Filled in quite a few post holes on the way up and down but there are still some whoppers here and there that would need a shovel. That's got to hurt when they are crotch deep. Snowshoes down to road. My sincere thanks to those who opened up this trail after last week's snow. And 14 switchbacks seems to be about the right number prior to the ridge. |
