Comments
Comments: What a difference two days makes... After the very rough trail breaking challenges along the Carter Ridge near Carter Dome (http://www.newenglandtrailconditions.com/nh/viewreport.php?entryid=29684), was hoping for smoother sailing to get the Middle and South summits. All trails well broken out now (except I heard the Carter Moriah Trail over Mt. Hight is not yet). Finished packing down a good path along the ridge, especially between South Carter and the Carter Dome Trail junction. The final 400 feet of the Carter Moriah Trail is... meandering at best, with a veritable maze of single and multiple trails among the woods between it and the Carter Dome Trail. Unfortunate postholes present on the lower half of the Carter Dome Trail, and 19 Mile Brook Trail; step with care.
