Welll packed but bare boots would sink through up to the mt osceola trail. Took about 35 minutes. Thennn it was a different story but made it under an hour and a half to the top. No buttsleders yet. Well the crew of 4 broke it out and we all went over to osceola. And that took about an hour and 45 minutes to break it all the way . And by the way-no to the chimney as i tried and unless you have crampons on and an ice ax-you will fail too. Views were awesome. We hit the peak at 11:45 and i had to run! I passed my turn around 11:30. The crew added 1 guy and it was an awesome crew. I took off at noon-well it got real warm. This made for hell on the way down-snow was sticking to my snowshoes and balling up. Then lost my thermos between peaks. I finally took my snowshoes off after flipping out on them about 3 minutes before the car. Got to the car at 2:15 and made it back in time for a movie! Great day, great company on to the next! |
