Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We avoided lower crossings on North Twin Trail with the "bushwack" Third crossing interesting as icy covered rocks this morning increased the challange. We went up stream a bit and then down the middle sand bar to the trail. Crossings on Gale River were rock hoppable without ice though decent flow called for large steps
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: North Twin Trail well brushed out and looks great..
Dog-Related Notes

Bugs

Comments
Comments: Nice day out..high cloud ceiling provided great views from the Twins. While conditions change and everyone's perspective of traction is different we put on spikes just below the first ledgy area on North and kept them on to below the steps on GaleRiver. Snow depths rise quickly above 4000 feet and there are a couple of knee deep drifts along the way...nice traction on the packed snow..Long icy stretches on descent to the hut but spikes were fine and most people we saw today had them on . Dark and dank looking towards the south and while we chatted with folks we did not linger much and made it back to car before rain started
