 | Comments: |
Good day for this hike. Solid packed snow on most trails such that microspikes worked well. However, some apparent fresh snow and drifting on the summits and ridge trails of the Twins, such that snowshoes would have been good, though not necessary. Trail a bit obscure in some spots due to drifting. Trail signs still visible. No clear packed path out to route 3 through the Beaver Brook xc ski area. Only 3 other hikers encountered all day. The porch and chairs at Galehead hut were a great place to sit and eat lunch in the sun. |
