Comments
Comments: Started at the York Pond trailhead at 9:15 am wearing micro spikes on the packed trail which we wore almost all the way to the summit. Due to warming conditions as the cloud cover lifted, the snow on the trail started to get wet and ball up on our microspikes so we took them off and bare-booted to the top. Entire trail was well-packed with a thin coating of powder over top. Spent a long time at the top enjoying the warm sun. Used our snowshoes the entire way down for better traction and stability in the loose wet snow. Trail is nicely packed down now but I suggest bringing snowshoes for an easier hike down. It was a quick decent and we got to the bottom around 3:15.
