| Comments: |
new snow ranged from 2-6 inches with a layer of ice underneath in spots, so it was slippery on both ascent and descent..caution needed on the rocky steep spots on W-J and of course up near the Jackson summit..I kept snowshoes on the whole way but some might prefer aggressive traction up near the summit..stayed to the left and used branches and trees to get up the last ledge...couple of unintentional butt slides on the way down..! 3 other snowshoers and one skier headed up..also snowshoes were balling up due to warm temps.. |
