used spikes to Garfield summit and down, snowshoes all the way to Galehead summit and back to Gale River Trail, spikes and barebooted from there - good hardpack and non-destructable.
16.2 mile loop - I think.
only met one guy on Garfield Ridge Trail - was doing the loop Bonds to Franconia Ridge - Flume, and down. Spent the night out in a bivy up there!! |
