Comments
Comments: Lower part of MKT a combo of ice flow and bare dirt until well into the FS boundary line..once past the Bald Peak spur the trail was snow covered and frozen...spiked the whole way and no one (20 hikers or so) used snowshoes today..KRT also frozen and made for fast time at least on the descent! Used "old" microspikes which worked well, broke one right near the trailhead on way out..
