While in the trees Glencliff was pleasant. The snow was well packed and easily walk-able with microspikes. Wind began to hit at the junction of Carriage Road and the trail to South Peak. From there clear blue skies with beautiful views but the wind was in our face the whole accent. Views were clear but it was hard to stay long enough to enjoy them; South Peak was better being slightly sheltered. The decent was fun, lots of butt-sliding. I'd recommend a sled for those who are inclined. |
