Comments
Comments: Camp Dodge cut-off to the South summit was choppy and uneven with a semi-solid base, breakable crust, and postholes. It appears that 2 in snowshoes tried their best to smooth over the trail. We used snowshoes but looking back over the trail our efforts to even things out were marginal. We met up with Trish, Alex and Sage in the vicinity of the MC summit going in the opposite direction so their report could be helpful as well. Lots of evidence of those opposed to wearing snowshoes along the ridge with deep postholing action to watch out for until the summit of South. CD Trail and NM Trail is in very good shape- best conditions all day. With a 130 miles visibility it was a great day to be out with E.S. despite brrr factor.
