Comments
Comments: Cut off the initial portion of the hiking trail on the ascent by taking a ski trail related route that avoided grooming and snowmaking operations. Once on the hiking trail, there was about an inch of new powder from overnight, decreasing to a dusting higher up. Some postholing from barebooters trying to get through a drift just before the summit loop split. Otherwise, there was a decent snowshoe track throughout and plenty of snow. Snowpack is about 2 to 3 feet. I wore snowshoes roundtrip.
