The bottom half of the trail is firmly packed down. The second part of the trail past the 'view' sign is mostly packed out with minimal snow depth (think a centimeter). After the junction with the Sosman Tr, the trail is packed out but not even. Could use some snowshoe lovin. The trail has scattered postholes and an uneven foundation has formed until the next junction where the trail to the summit splits in two. I did this trail in bare boots and microspikes. I saw about 9 other people out today. |
