Comments
Comments: broke out FS with snowshoes. down low, maybe 4-5 fresh inches of powder. a lovely woods walk until it got steep and deep. i fought for every inch...up to my thighs in places. about .5 below the ridge a duo caught up to me and i graciously let them take over and then another solo hiker came along, so 'mentally' it became easier. (two hikers descended FS , so there should be good tracks to follow for awhile if you're inclined to take this route up to Flume.) FR was not broken out to Flume, but a lot less snow to plow thru. FR between Flume/Liberty ...not much snowshoe traffic (i had mine on), a lot of post holing. LS from the summit down, nicely packed out and i made up the time that i lost on FS.
