Remember you have an additional 1.2m walk along the road to the trailhead in the winter.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful views and almost no wind at the top today. Trails mainly packed powder and snowshoes could be worn almost the entire way including the access road to the trailhead. The only place to bareboot or use microspikes would be the first 1-1.5 miles immediately after the trailhead since there isn't enough snow for snowshoes. Plenty of snow as you get up above 2000' and with all the traffic the past two days (we counted over 20 today) the trail is well packed. The steep section on the Ridge trail has no ice and we navigated it with relative ease in our snowshoes. Ran into several skiers and butt sledders on the way down who really were packing it down!
