Comments
Comments: Trail already well broken-out, but postholes present mostly on upper half of Jewell. Drifts above treeline relatively easy to maneuver. Along the ridge, ice and some crust prevalent, and straightforward to navigate. Clear skies made finding our way a breeze. Unbelievably gorgeous day above treeline - you can hardly pick days like this. Used snowshoes below treeline on way up and down to leave the trail as packed as possible. Hoping for snow rather than rain in the coming day or so... Will be posting photos and a VFTT trip report to the "Hike the 4000 Footers of NH!" Facebook group.
