Comments
Comments: Trail up Webster Jackson was well packed. Used snowshoes but some rocks still showing would catch on the rocks. Ascending the Jackson Br was a little trickier. There was some ice under the snow and above treeline some very tricky ice to go over to get to the summit. Wished we brought our new crampons. Going up we noticed the Webster Br had not been broken. We descended the Webster Cliff and someone had just broken the trail. The snow was deep and not packed down. It was slippery under the snow in steep sections. We used snowshoes. We skipped the .1 to Webster Cliff because it clouded up and started snowing. The Webster Br trail had maybe only a couple people use snowshoes before us. The snow was deep. Going down the section to the Silver Cascade and back up the other side was icy covered with deep snow. It took us awhile to get through this part. Used microspikes once we hit the Webster Jackson trail again to descend. It was a great day to end the year!
