One pretty fresh tree across the trail, but easy enough to side-step. |

Seems like Easton did not get as much snow as I had envisioned (maybe 4-5" on the ground).
I wore my snowshoes from the start, though. Trail was unbroken all the way, and was unbroken heading south toward South Kinsman and north heading down to pond.
Because I got a late start, I ended up not going to South Kinsman. Snow was deep above Bald Peak spur trail, and there were a few tricky ice bulges to negotiate, particularly on the Kinsman Ridge Trail. |
