| Comments: |
Were planning to traverse Franconia Ridge to Lincoln/Lafayette, but due to blowing snow, poor visibility and strong winds upon reaching Franconia Ridge Trail junction with Falling Waters, we decided to head back down. Used microspikes entire way up and down. Falling Waters Trail was packed down pretty well with few postholes off to the sides. A bit tricky in spots on the way down due to solid ice on trail. Carried snowshoes but had no need for them. Of course that's going to change tomorrow.... |
