Comments
Comments: The trail firmed up since Ken's report of yesterday. Frozen granular for most of the way with ice flows on all the exposed rock up high. We wore light traction all day and I carried snowshoes 'just in case' but never needed them. The last pitch up from the junction of the Carter-Moriah Trail and Kenduskeag Trail was all ice but we found a safe way through the woods to bypass this problem. Tomorrow's predicted snowfall will definitely change this trail. If the 12"s become a reality snowshoes will be in order.
