Comments
Comments: Hiked up in freshly falling snow, total new snow was 5 inches. Bare booted with studded boots up to the carriage road with no issues. At the carriage road I put on snow shoes and was glad I did as there were some random deep drifts...plus some good spots of blue/black ice. visibility was very poor with high winds and blowing snow. Once backon Glencliff the conditions had changed, weather was warming and snow was packing down..ran into one group that was snowshowing up as well. I suspect the way up will be a little more slippery now that the snow has warmed up and been packed down..bring microspikes.
