| Water Crossing Notes: |
We avoided the crossing where the bridge used to be as it wasn't frozen over yet. We headed up the tracks a few hundred feet and hooked onto the old spur path |

One blowdown about a mile up trail, we walked in the woods a few feet to get around it |

A great day to be above treeline, temps in the high teens and wind under 15MPH with a wind chill above zero. Snowshoes were a must below treeline and for a tenth of a mile or two above it, then light traction was perfect for the trip over to Jefferson and back. There was a hiker behind us on the way down who was post-holing horribly below treeline, hopefully the hiker behind him was able to smooth out that mess a little bit.
