The bottom part of liberty and brook trails is covered of 1-2 inches of unpacked snow, with very few patches of ice. I put the crampons after jim liberty cabin as the layer of snow was gettin deeper (3-4 inches in average) with more blue ice on the rocks. I saw around twelve people at the summit, all wearing microspikes. It seems they all did it from the north or the west side as there wasn't any footprints on liberty and brook trails. |
