AMC Over 55 trip today. Most of us wore Microspikes/Hillsounds the whole day, but we all carried snowshoes, which were unnecessary. Snow covered most of the rocks and roots on the trail, and, while required kicking steps in on the steep parts on the ascent, made for a very fast descent. Lots of folks on the trail; few carried snowshoes but all were wearing light traction. |
