Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The one crossing was rock hoppable with a couple steps on slightly submerged rocks. Others had gone just upstream.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There is a 9" tree across the trail just below the summit. Easy to climb over.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Marlie led the way up today. Easy terrain for experienced trail dogs. Winter is here so being your dog's jacket and/or boots and as always bring a bottle water for them.

Comments
Comments: The trail started with about an inch of snow and increased to 4 inches over a firm crust. The drifting wasn't bad and the trail was packing nicely on our way down. I barebooted but some may prefer light traction. Snowshoes could have been used after the long traverse but not necessary. In the clouds while at the summit but sunny on our return to Sawyer River Rd.
