Comments: Avalon Trail: mostly dry to the JCT..some wet and mud with black ice above 2800 feet towards the spur..easily stepped around. Icy in spots to Field but traction not needed today..one more cold night though.. Willey Range Trail dry throughout though descent to Tom col had some wet spots..Ice has vanished from Mt Tom Spur..A-Z in fine shape.. In and out of the winds and clouds today..some good views from Field on the way back and from Tom.. Enjoyed chatting with brian on the descent..no one else on the trails today
