Comments
Comments: Got to Crawford Path at 5:30am trying to get to Pierce and Eisenhower before the weather hit. There was minimal, avoidable black ice going up with a few inches of new powder above Mizpah. I took Mizpah Cutoff to redline it and check out the work done on the hut this year (couldn't tell much from the outside). I threw on my microspikes and headed up the trail to Pierce. Freezing rain started as I got up to ridge leading to Pierce from the south and clouds swamped in as I took the summit. I caught a glimpse of Eisenhower as dark clouds overtook it and the wind picked up. I bailed on doing Ike and headed back down Crawford Path. Mix precip made for sticky new snow and who knows what it will be like after this afternoon's rain. I kept my microspikes on all the way to the car (black ice under sticky snow). I hit Gibbs Falls and Crawford Cliff on the way down, their paths were more of the same.

Full trip report with video and photos when I catch up with my blog in 6 months :P
