Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossings are very doable getting feet in about an inch on rocks, I have the 27th edition of WMG which suggests a log bridge on Gale River trail, there is none anymore, but again not a problem

Comments
Comments: Excellent day, cool to start, no ice anywhere, but with overnight lows below freezing I didn't feel foolish carrying microspikes in pack. I talked to someone who just came from South Twin and there was only minimal ice which didn't impede travel there. Leaves down low which don't pose a huge problem but do conceal ankle twisting holes and debris, foliage out down low, above 2500 or so it has all fallen down. Galehead isn't normally a destination hike, but the views from the hut and summit outlook where excellent. Only 3 NH 4ks left for me.
