Peaks
Peaks Mt. Tecumseh, NH
Trails
Trails: Mt. Tecumseh Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, November 19, 2016
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: There were only 3 of us in the AM... Total pack lot in the PM and I swear there must have been 75 people crowding that summit after I left. Fall hiking is still in effect.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings are able to be rock hopped. They are running as the weather has been warm.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Who ever has done all the stone work and cleared all the blow down... Bravo! Great trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: 8 other dogs on the trail plus Isis... Busy day but Tecumseh is easy for the pooches. Water is flowing but have some for the summit. It's a hard work out to get there. All dogs were well behaved with minimal barking. Nice to see a lot on leashes.
Bugs
Bugs: For as warm as it was, there were none.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Grey hat on a branch after the last water crossing.

Comments
Comments: So, I'm back on the 4K's for now... Tecumseh was a good pick since I've been sick recently. I need a good hike to stretch out my legs since I've been cooped up but I also needed a short one incase I got tired again... trail is in great shape and all the work has really paid off. No sign of winter here as the weather has been warm... But I hear that might change tomorrow. So, all these conditions might change. Happy Hiking.
