Comments
Comments: Very Jekyl and Hyde. Snow as soon as you cross the creek leaving Livermore Tr. to North Tripyramid Peak. A few ice patches on the trail leading up to North Slide. North Slide itself had many patches of snow but no ice or wet rock. It is passable for those who have some alpine skills and are willing to climb/scramble; poles were helpful, did not need whippet/ice axe but found helpful for cutting a few steps in snow higher up. We did not use spikes on North Slide but saw tracks from another party that did. 1-4 inches snow between the peak of North Tripyramid and South Tripyramid. You can probably get along without spikes but we found them helpful to move quickly on the packed snow on the trail. Little to no ice. South slide also dry, very few spots with snow; poles helpful for balance. A few slick rocks lower down, either slight ice or wet. Mt Tripyramid Tr below South Slide is wet and had some slick spots but very navigable
