Still fall prior to reaching the third water crossing - generally dry trail with some areas of leaves.
Above the viewpoint, rocks and roots were generally glazed with ice. There was also a dusting of snow higher up. Despite the ski trails generally not being frozen, the ground was mostly frozen on the hiking trail due to the lack of sunlight it gets this time of year. A few thawed patches up on the ridge due to sun exposure.
I ascended without needing traction. Some may prefer light traction, especially for the descent. |
