Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some trees across the trail. Note: on Blueberry cutoff - heavy markings for a mile and then it becomes a challenge to find the trail. Lots of hunting for a blaze, leaves are like a blanket right now. One hiker i met in the parking lot who came down Blueberry Ridge Trail said they lost the trail 2 or 3 times. I had the same problem in a few spots myself on the way up.

Comments
Comments: Arrived at 8am. Called Pinkham Notch Trail information, they didn't have any reports and could only guess "some snow". Around 3000 feet the snow started to show, with the warm weather there was water running down rocks and standing in the trails. As you gained elevation the snow got deeper up to 8 inches on top. Some hikers took the advice from the Guide not to go back down Blueberry Ridge Trail, others took a chance. I went for the loop leaving Mt Whiteface onto Rollins Trail and came down Dicey's Mill Trail. Note it was mostly down hill from the top, couldn't wait to get out of the snow & water. Once on Dicey's Mill Trail my pants dried out. Moisture was coming through my 3- season boots by the end getting off of Rollins Trail. Once the temp. drops it will be all ice up there, bring your spikes. Note: some people were in shorts and summer boots. It still wasn't bad enough for me to put on my micro spikes.

Besides all that, weather was just as expected GREAT! warm all the way down the trail to the car.
