| Comments: |
Blue bird day with excellent views, wide open summits on all the Presidentials. Temps in the 30's at the summit and no wind to speak of. Mix of snow, ice, rocks, and leaves over the trail. The upper portion of the trail was nicely snow packed to allow for great traction with the micro spikes. The ground was firm and frozen in the am, giving way to slushier conditions in the pm. There were no drifts on the summit, and the rime ice was breathtaking. |
