Comments
Comments: Trail was mostly dry until the first water crossing, with some minor muddy places. Packed snow started at the turn for the miserable mile side hill traverse. I used spikes up to the summit and back down to this point. The trail was in pretty good shape with a lot of the holes filled in with the new snow. Earlier hikers over the weekend had packed it down very well. Signal ridge was drifted over fairly deeply in places with some deep postholes, but today it was cold enough that everything was rock solid. There were some pretty stiff wind gusts walking over the ridge today. I almost got blown-over a few times. No views when I was up there, but it brightened upon my descent. It was full winter up there today.
