Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All of the small drainages were running, but rock hoppable. Skipped all but the top crossing of the Rocky Branch, which was tricky due to high water. Went downstream and found a place to hop. Crossing above that in the flats was rock hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The same large blowdowns have been down for a year are still in place on the Isolation Trail - a pain in the neck to climb over right now, and even worse once the snow falls. Will take an ax (which I didn't have). Also a few ax necessary blowdowns on Rocky Branch (below ski trail...not bad now, but with 2 feet of snow will be a pain) and on Davis Path (just below Isolation Trail junction). Took out a few blowdowns. Bogwalks, or whatever's left of them, on Davis Path really could use replacing.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found one trailrunner water bottle near height of land on Rocky Branch - left on a log, looked to have been picked up before I returned.

Comments
Comments: Trails were quite wet - some dry spots, but generally running water, pooled water, mud, etc. Some black ice on bogwalks and roots on Davis Path. Took Engine Hill bushwhack to avoid some of the muck - very mucky near the traditional entrance, but pretty good going up higher - driest part of the hike. In terms of foliage, still green leaves down low, but some nice color on lower Rocky Branch in places. Starting around first height of land, leaves are mostly gone. Engine Hill bushwhack area leaves are nearly all gone.
