There is a small ~3" diameter thigh-high blowdown a little below the junction with Sosman Trail. We flicked a bunch of branches off trail. |

With yesterday's rain and above-freezing temps, snow was melting and today's hike felt more like April. Snow began about 1/2 to 3/4 mile up the trail. A bit slick here and there on the descent but not enough to warrant traction in our opinion. Met a couple dozen folks, including a fellow Gridiot (Hi Jim!). We were festively dressed--heh, heh--especially FP in his pumpkin hat.
