Comments
Comments: ski trails (Valley Run, new unnamed ski trail, Oblivion, North Country), Sosman Trail, ski trails (Ciao for descent)

Terrific day to earn some October turns and explore the new ski pod area of Green Peak. Fun to make a skin track across the Sosman Trail - that middle steep rocky section was quite sketchy on the splitboard but I managed not to tumble - although I did take a tumble at least once on the hiking trail and multiple times on the ski trails - snow was THICK and CEMENT-like at the top of Ciao - VERY difficult to turn - either I was rusty (probably!) or there was no way to plane the board AND turn for the steeper sections of Ciao. However, at the top and bottom, turns were creamy, dreamy, and surfy :)

The new Green Peak looks to have some fun ski trails! I wasn't excited about the plans, but, when you get a look at the actual trails, they look pretty fun! Amazing views from the new peak, too.

Snow started around 2500' which is when I started to skin up but the snow will probably be gone soon due to the rain!!!! :(
