There is a spruce tree down across the trail to Starr King. We removed a few branches so it can easily be stepped over. |

Snow depth went from a trace to about 6" at the top of Waumbek. Gaiters were helpful but not necessary. Saw 6 people and one dog. There were no views as we hiked up into a cloud; the snow and frost created a winter wonderland. |
