| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at the end of Carter Notch Road in Jackson. The road is in good shape. Room for several cars |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Numerous, 10 I believe, crossings via this route. All were easy hops due to the water levels being so low. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
These trails are in pretty good shape. Not the normal wear like you see on the conventional routes. There were a few brushy sections as well as several step over blow downs. We built a small cairn where the trail leaves the open area on the Rainbow Trail. It was a bit difficult to find at first. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
no issues for dogs |
|
| Bugs: |
none |
|
| Lost and Found: |
A pair of golves on the sign at the trailhead |

| Comments: |
Nice quiet approach to Carter Dome. The trails were wet from the recent rain and stayed wet all day to due a thick fog. The birch glade on the Rainbow Trail was beautiful. Lots of color showing with just a little bit of green left. Should be peaking very soon. |
