Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only saw a few. The Abenaki Brook crossing at 0.4 mile in is the only source i would draw my own water from but Sasha is less discerning. Seriously, you should carry water for your dog on this hike. We refilled at Lake of the Clouds hut.
Bugs
Bugs: A few clouds of no see ums on the way down Edmunds path at 5-6pm but really nothing! Yay!

Comments
Comments: The intent for the day was short and easy up Eisenhower. But then we got to Crawford Path and while having lunch saw lines of hikers snaking up the Eisenhower loop. Hikers seemed more dispersed towards Monroe. And the weather was spectacular, warmer than expected and just a bit breezy. Secure in the thought of a headlamp and plenty of snacks in my pack and more water at the hut off we went. This section of Crawford path is easy and gorgeous. Very exposed but it was the perfect day. What a great hike!
