| Water Crossing Notes: |
All river crossings were very easy to manage with dry shoes still at the end of the day. Hiking poles always make balancing easier. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail appeared in fine shape. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Our faithful companion loved the hike. She loved the water and so many opportunities to swim/cool down along the trail in both directions. |

A very nice day. About 10 miles of this trip is very easy, with just the half mile before the peak (and again on way down) have a slide and steeper hike. This was not a relentless steep hike, mind you. It was an exceptionally quiet day on the trails, which was surprising for a sunny Labor Day. Disappointing to notice a few areas where folks had NOT used Leave No Trace principles when toileting. Seeing toilet paper along the trail is hugely sad. |
