Comments: VERY windy above treeline on Edmand's path and then up to Ike; I used full goretex. Socked in on Ike but decent valley views closer to Pierce, then, good views from Jackson. Looks a little past peak to me, but great yellows!!! Many people above treeline (in the fog) that I passed asked me questions that made it sound like they weren't carrying maps??? Several I heard: "Is there a shortcut to Lakes of the Clouds?" (from below Ike) and, "Is there a cutover to 302" (going the wrong way). At first I thought they were just joking around... not clear they were fully prepared for conditions...
