Davis Hill is the town highpoint of Chesterfield. Started bushwhack at the town line sign, starts out pretty steep with some interesting broken up rocks/ledges, open woods and had to dodge wild Rhododendrons. Spent some time looking for bounds and did find a corner of the Pisgah State Forest--a rock cairn and pipe, lots of blue blazes and maybe one really old red blaze that I'd like to think was a town line blaze. |
