Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in pretty good shape except for the usual mud pits near the main peak, much like the Hancocks yesterday, but the wet ledges on the switchbacks have created a bit of a mess at their base. They are rough enough to use even when wet now, but most won't and when they ice up nobobody will.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Pretty easy trail for a pupper with easy grades, wet areas at various intervals and shade, but the mighty tough little dog missed having a sippin and dippin spot like he had on the Hancocks yesterday. Met 3 dogs, including a feisty Jack Russell mix that made Pepper the big dog, and a wonderful setter/pointer? named Sophie.
Bugs
Bugs: None

Comments
Comments: We did the Hancocks yesterday thinking the summits would be in the clouds, and it was a gorgeous day out. Same forecast today but on wakeup it was partly clear, so I thought the Osceolas would have great foliage colors. Sometime after we started hiking the clouds lowered and we never saw any vistas. But it was comfy for fast hiking and this is a great trail going up. We saw two people going up, two more at East, but back at Osceola and down there were lots of hikers of all types.
