Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This in-and-out/loop trail is relatively tame. There are a few scrambles where some assistance is likely needed.
Bugs
Bugs: No wind on the day so they were out and annoying, but no biting thankfully.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We forgot Boomer's blue leash on the rotted wood bench on Mt. Tom's summit. If someone wants to leave it on the trailhead sign I will grab it next time I go through, otherwise feel free to keep it or dispose of it. Thank you.

Comments
Comments: Sorry for the late post.

This is a great in-and-out/loop trail that has enough variation to keep it from getting too monotonous on the way out. When views were present on the Willey Range they were great. Mt. Avalon has really good views, but the summit is small and gets crowded quick from all the day hikers who want to do something easy. We saw one person going up the rocky section of the Avalon Trail holding his iPad. I can only assume he was hunting for Pokemon.

Trails were dry, water crossing were easy, and this is a very dog friendly trip.
