Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lucky me I have a friend that lives in Enfield near the bottom of Goodhue Hill Road. Might be able to squeeze a on the side of the road or ask permission of the people at the end of the road maybe? If you have a 4 wheel drive you might be able to park on Goodhue Hill Road a few feet up the old class 6 road before the snowmobile bridge.

Comments
Comments: Prospect Hill is Enfield's highpoint and is a 2k on the NH500 highest list. At height of land of Goodhue Hill Road go past the flat grassy area and go straight and then descend down to the brook (you can see that only two stringers of the washed out bridge remain). Today the brook was nearly dry. On the way up I continued on the road a few more minutes before picking up a herd path/old skidder road that turned right up the hill through nice open woods and fern glades. I passed by a NH forest Boundary marker and red blazes upon entering the State lands. I continued up and hit the summit ridge on the south side. I went south until it was going down hill and then I went north. I stood where I thought it might be the hp but then I went steeply down into a mucky area and the ridge continued straight up high and Aha! I scrambled up there and found the recognized hp! I went down again and up and found a nice rocky bump that I wished was the hp, ha ha. I then descended down aiming for the point I left the road. I found lots more old skidder roads and I ended up right at the brook crossing so if I had taken the steep first right of an I could have gone more straight and steeply up to the north bump. I liked the loop I made over the mountain, nice woods and under 4 miles for the whole outing. Only heavily obstructed visits, lots of Maple trees.
