Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail conditions were fine - just a rugged trail (Fishin' Jimmy).
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My pup loved the hike - although she was initially intimidated to use the built in steps on some of the steep climbs - once she figured them out she did well. She enjoyed the swim in the Lake and and found lots of water to roll in the first 2 1/2 miles of the trip.
Bugs
Bugs: There were flies - but none were biting thankfully.

Comments
Comments: Fishin' Jimmy was more grueling than I expected. I passed a group of seven thru hikers and they were all bemoaning the stress of this particular part of the trail. I had several missteps on the way down and was lucky to not have any injuries. Always a joy to see so many children hiking up to Lonesome Lake...all wanted time with the dog who in turn was thrilled with the attention.
