Comments
Comments: Inspired by Old Man and the Saw's recent trip to the Fool Killer, Schorman and I decided to try the route up from Pine Bend Brook Trail. Pine Bend Brook Trail up to where we took a left for the bushwhack after the last crossing of Pine Bend Brook was in good shape and a pleasant walk. We followed a due south compass bearing and headed up hill. Hobblebush was thick in spots, but no super thick spruce. Found a moose/herd path closer to the top and since it was headed the same way we were more or less, followed that to the flatter ridge line area. Once there, the woods were open and it was easy walking to the summit sign and canister. Took another bearing at the summit and headed down to the Sabbaday Brook Trail, which we found after 30 minutes or so of easier bushwhacking. The AMC trail crew was at work in various place along the Sabbaday Brook Trail, which was in pretty good shape, but will be improved with the new water bars and other rock work. Easy walk down the Sabbaday Brook Trail to the parking area to pick up the car.

Fun bushwhack and great day out with Schorman for the Fool Killer Traverse!
